Mackey Leads Teams into Dawson |

 Updated 2-14-07, 10:45am | The last two teams of the first block of mushers have arrived in the mid-way checkpoint of Dawson City. Aaron Burmeister pulled in just before 10:00am with 9 dogs and Michelle Phillips arrived with her 13 dog team about 15 minutes earlier. The first eight teams to arrive in Dawson City departed the Scroggie Creek Dog Drop within approximately 5 hours of each other (NOTE: Sebastian Schnuelle's time through Scroggie Creek was not determined) and the next teams were reported leaving Scroggie Creek more than 3 hours later. Checkpoint staff are now expecting a few hours of quiet time before the arrival of the next teams...most likely Dave Dalton, Mike Jayne, Richie Beattie and Brent Sass, who all left Scroggie Creek before midnight Tuesday. Four more teams are currently showing at Scroggie Creek, with the remainder moving along the trail between the Stepping Stone hospitality stop and Scroggie Creek Dog Drop.
