The Yukon Quest is not over until the last team crosses the finish line in Fairbanks. Any musher who has run over 1,000 miles with their dogs, through some of the coldest temperatures and roughest terrain, deserves a round of applause for their accomplishments. In my book, they are all winners.
Benedikt Beisch, Regina Wycoff & Tom Benson should all arrive in Fairbanks today. Leaving Kyla Boivin (of Whitehorse) and Bob McAlpin (of North Pole) the last two teams teams out on the trail. Bob may even finish with all 14 of the dogs on his team. A feat last accomplished by Dave Dalton (2004) and Wayne Hall (2002).
