Adams Returns to Pelly to Scratch |

Kiara Adams returned to Pelly Crossing on Tuesday evening to end her 2007 race. Before she departed from Pelly Crossing this afternoon, Kiara discussed the possibility of scratching because she was concerned about her dogs. While veterinary staff gave them a seal of approval, Kiara felt as though they weren't having fun anymore.
After seeking advice from her pit crew and officials, Kiara decided she would mush to Stepping Stone and see if her dogs looked better. She arrived back in Pelly Crossing just as the YQ300 banquet was finishing to officially scratch from the race.
This was a hearbreaker for Kiara and her support crew. She worked hard to return to this year's Yukon Quest and hopes to return in the future.
