RACE NEWS Updated 2-13-07 7:10pm | The Yukon Quest 300 Banquet held Tuesday evening hosted approximately 50 people including mushers, handlers, officials, vets, staff and volunteers. The banquet can not be mistaken for a finish banquet as the race is far from over. The banquet for the Yukon Quest 300 had been set at a predetermined time to host as many as possible before teams had to return to meet Yukon Quest teams or return home. Just as the banquet was kicking off, Luc Tweddell arrived at the Finish line in 4th place. The top three mushers were awarded this evening. However, the musher who will take home the Red Lantern Award is yet to be determined. Special thanks to respected Elder Danny Joe from Selkirk First Nations for his welcome to the Yukon Quest 300.
