GalenaThe 2007 Serum Run is an annual  journey from Nenana to Nome. The participants in this years run have reached Galena, 350 miles into their journey across Alaska. Temperatures have been a bone chilling 50 below almost every step of the way. Reaching Galena means a warm place to dry heavily frosted gear, thaw out hands and feet, eat tasty hot meals from the Culinary Arts students, utilize a garage to repair snow machines that have struggled to start in the frigid temperatures and maybe even get a manicure from the local beauty school.

The group will stay 2 days here and then push on to Nulato, some 48 miles up the Yukon River. The Serum Run is expected to arrive in Nome March 9th. Follow all their adventures at www.serumrun.org
