An exciting and potential dangerous day for the 2007 Serum Run. Every step of the way the Serum Run has encounterd grouling weather or bad trails and today was no different. While crossing the sea ice near Elim snow machiner Don Keller saw what he thought was some pretty shiny ice, as he approached it he realized it was open water.
The Norman Vaughan Serum Run started in Nenana, Alaska February 19th, traveling some 700 miles so far. To learn more about the journey visit their web site at www.serumrun.org
Listen to Don describing the break in the sea ice.
