UPDATE- Nov 15, 2007: Joe has made it through surgery and is resting comfortably and anxious to get back home. Joe Delia has been the post master of the Susitna area for decades. Joe and his wife Norma live in Skwentna, Alaska and have been volunteers as well as avid fans of the Iditarod since the race began. The Delias' have always been there to lend a helping hand to anyone who asks. Now it's our turn to lend a hand. "We have a bit of a problem with Joe" says his wife Norma "and I'm asking you to join in the prayer circle if you wish to. Joe has asked that I start one. Long story short, Joe was having trouble breathing and we got him into Anchorage. After 2 days of tests, it was determined he needs by-pass surgery. I'm not real sure yet just when that will be but as soon as it is over, I'll update everyone. Many, many thanks to all those who assisted getting me help for Joe. You know who you are and it is truly appreciated. Thank you" - Norma. Joe & Norma you have our thoughts and prayers at dogsled.com - speedy recovery Joe. Comments (0)
