why do you not give a reasonable update every now and then that i read in the adn or fbdn this is the 20th century technology is there i just do not understand !!!!
Hi Tom - We have had a GIANT loss of volunteers within dogsled.com - there is only one person running the "volunteer" updates now...that would be ME and I have a full time job that kinda gets in the way. The owner of this site Kevin Kastner, has dropped out of helping update the site due to his job commitments and at the last minute so did all the other volunteers that contributed...I do what I can...any info you would like to contribute is welcome... Theresa Daily dogsled.com just an unpaid volunteer
The yukon Quest site said that Ken anderson plus others were penilized 2 hours that was going to be used in Eagle ..So lance pulls into eagle 20 minutes before ken they both required to take 4 hours plus 2 hours for ken. Well ken leaves 1 minute after lance whats up with that do you know? and it says lance took a 7 hour rest whats he thinking would he not want to use that 2 hours to his advantage insted of giving ken the lead? is there a site i can get current standings on other then yukonquest.com? I know lance has had sled breakage but why not use the two hour lead givin to him. Richard
All mushers have a required 4 hrs in Eagle. Ken Anderson had 2 so 6. He stayed almost 7 hours and left one minute after Lance. Total time on Ken is 3d 19hr 14m. Lance's total time is 3d 19h 40m. Ken started 20th, and, at ten minute intervals with Lance at 11 it is actually a 90 minute adjustment. Does that make sense? Lance always runs his own race and doesn't let someone close to his heals change his race plans, he rest his dogs when needed and his past performance has proven we should not be second guessing why. Lance told me his plan was to be in the top 3 and it looks like he will live up to that. It makes it an exciting race for sure.
