DOGTEC - Noatak Racing Team Kennels

NOATAK RACING TEAM is the name's of Jacques and Magali PHILIP racing sled dog kennel.

NOATAK is the name of river in the northern part of Alaska. Most of this river is north of the Artic Circle
Our kennel is located between Fairbanks and Nenana in Alaska
Our main activities is racing sled dog in the mid-distance and sprint circuit. But we also do Web page design.

Jacques runs mostly stage and middle distance races, he won 3 Alpirod in a row (1994/1993/1992).

Since the Alpirod got cancelled Jacques raced mostly in the USA and he raced for the last 7 years the Wyoming Stage race where he placed thrid in 97 ; 98 ; 99 and 2001. He placed second in 2000, fourth in 2002 and Second again in 2003.

Jacques raced other mid-distance type of race like in Yellowknife at the beginning of April, to race in the Canadian Sled Dog Derby, which is a mid distance race with 3 heats of 50 miles each on the Great Slave Lake.
Now in January we race in Oregon the Atta Boy 300 sled dog race.

This year like every year we are in close relationship with the National Vet School of Alfort. Dr Dominique Grandjean D.V.M. is our very close friend and he was ahead of all the studies we did. Dominique received the "PRIDE LIFETIME ACHEIVEMENT AWARD" in september 1998 ! This award was donated to him for all his hard work on sled dog medicine, nutrition and all the effort and time he involve in the sled dog sport for more than 20 years !
Dominique and his team from the Vet school just wrote a great book about working and sporting dogs.
And few months agao arrived in english a New Dog Encyclopia which Dominique helped created.
