The 2008 Tahquamenon sled dog races were held Saturday, January 5th at Rainbow Lodge near Lake Superior, Newberry, Michigan. Congratulations to Frank
Holmberg, 4-time winner of the 63 mile 12-dog Pro-class race...
Monica Magnusson
with a course record win in the 42 mile 8 dog Pro; Shaynee Seipke, with a
course record in the 19 mile 6 dog Sportsman race; Ryan Hunt, winning the 8 mile 4dog
Sport race in his first attempt; Cooper Curtice, winner of the 4 mile Youth 2-3 dog
Sport race; and Fred Derksen, who won the 8 mile 2-3 dog Skijoring event.
Congratulations and "thank you" also to Volunteer Of The Year Phil
Denboer, and to Jerry Papke and Stan Bontrager, winners of the Kenny
