 Sheep Mountain 150 sled dog race
has been canceled.
The 2007 Sheep Mountain 150 sled dog race has been canceled due to lack of snow. The race had been scheduled for this weekend,
December 15-16. At this time there is approxmately 12 inches of snow in the
area, which in insufficient to safely stop or control a 12 dog racing team.
There is some good news however, the cross country skiing at Sheep Mountain Lodge is great right
now!
It
would not be safe to send 600 dogs and 50 mushers over the trail in it's current
condition. The race will not be rescheduled. Hopefully next year we can make
it happen. Please contact the race director, Zack Steer, if
