The Serum Run has been delayed another day due to a conflicting event that began in Nome today. The 38th Annual running of the Nome to Golovin snowmachine race started at noon on the Bering Sea ice near the edge of downtown Nome. Theresa is in Nome waiting for the Serum Run teams and for the Iditarod finishers - meanwhile, she caught this video at the snowmachine race today.
One of the race participants, Char Keehn is a Nome Kennel Club member and musher. This 52 year old breast cancer survivor is a feisty lady. She is wearing bib #118 and loves running the snowmachine as well as the dogs! We hope to catch her return later today and get a quick interview of her arrival back to Nome. Comments (0)
