A celebration of life and potluck will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday Aug
26th 2007 at Hilltop Chalet, Anchorage, Alaska.
Robert Paul Crockett, Jr., 38, died Aug. 19, 2007, in a fishing accident at Willow Creek. Robert was born Oct. 18, 1968, in Yuma, Ariz., and grew up in Arizona and Alaska. Robert always enjoyed the outdoors and had a passion for fishing. All avid fly fishermen, he and his father and brother spent many hours teasing fish from Alaska's rivers and streams. Robert's other great passion was dogs. Robert worked with his father and stepmother leading dog mushing tours through their business, Chugach Express Dog Sled Tours, out of Girdwood. For the past three years, he managed the boarding kennel at The Dog Wash Resort tending to pets for a loyal following of clients. Robert was also a trained EMT and worked as a safety consultant for crews filming in Alaska. Robert's training often put him in the position of rescuer and he was always ready to respond to emergency situations.
