Dogsled.com: Mushing news, Iditarod, Yukon Quest, sled dog events

Bid on a racing dog sled that has been signed by all 59 finishers of the 2007 Iditarod Dog Race. Last year's champion Jeff King was the first musher to sign the sled. It also has been signed by eleven-year-old Tekla Monson, daughter of four-time Iditarod champion Susan Butcher, who died of leukemia in August.

The sled was made by Jeff Holt of North Pole, who was forced to scratch in this year's race, notable for a tough trail that has bruised and battered mushers. Nineteen teams have scratched this year. Principal Mike Day says the dog sled will be offered on eBay. It's being listed as Iditarod 2007 Dog Sled. He says if enough money can be raised, he plans to take a group of 10 to 15 students on an educational trip to Seattle.
