Update Tuesday Jan 22, 2008: 14 mushers have completed the Klodike 300. Liz Parish remains on the trail not far from the finish line. We talked to Zoya DeNure after her 14th place finish, with 12 happy dogs jumping and rearing to go more, at 8:01:54 this morning. Zoya said "it was a tough trail, there was lots of water/overflow on the trail and the dogs were pretty warm. We stopped often to snack and rehydrate. I had a pretty young team on this race, not the same dogs I used in the Gin Gin 200. These guys needed a bit more nuturing, but boy oh boy by the time we crossed that finish line, this team had some new confidence. Like "Bongo", I would have never expected him to be a serious leader but he was and he did it good. That's what I like about getting out on the trail and litterly living with these dogs. You see what they can offer." Zoya said Liz Parish was behind her a ways and plugging along through the wet sluggish trail. " With a trail like we had, you just take you time and take care of your dogs".

3 Times a winner!
Cim Smyth takes the Klondike for the third time arriving at the finish line tonight at 1612:50  with 12 dogs.
