Wade Marrs talks with us just before the start of the 2007 Junior Iditarod.
|
Wade Marrs (Wasilla, AK, USA) began mushing five years ago "for fun." He says, "The dogs' bloodline has been in our family for 20 years. They are young (about1 1/2 years old)and not very experienced. I have trained these dogs myself. All but two of our dogs were born and raised in our kennel." Wade is in 10th grade at Wasilla High School. He participates in wrestling and says he enjoys trapping, hunting, fishing and wrestling. He is unsure about what he will do following graduation from high school and also unsure as to whether he will continue mushing.
