Quinn Iten (Kotzebue, AK, USA) says he has run dogs since he was three. "I think I started because everyone else in the family mushed." The Iten family lives some 30 miles north of Kotzebue and are not connected to the road system. They have 100 sled dogs and five horses, 12 chickens and a spoiled fat beagle. Quinn is in the 9th grade and attends the I.D.E.A. Home School Program. He participates in the Battle of the Books and enjoys horse back riding, hunting, fishing and down hill skiing when he can. After high school his plans are for "more school" and he says he will possibly continue mushing. Comments (0)
