Whether you've been to the Iditarod 10 times or never been at all, this book is a must-have. It gives so much insight into what it takes to get 80 mushers from the sign-up picnic in June all the way to Nome in March. It is a gem of a book, filled with behind-the-scenes info that will entertain, amaze, and enthrall you, from cover to cover. June's writing makes for an entertaining read, even when she's talking about the seemingly mundane issues of food bags. She paints such wonderful word pictures that you feel like you are really there, all during the preparation process, and all the way to the banquet in Nome. I give it 5 stars and 2 thumbs-up. - Linda Birchall
