congratulations!!!

I want to come to the 2007 Iditarod to celebrate my 50th birthday and a lifelong dream. Can someone direct me to the best [and affordable] place to go to make reservations?

Thanks! - patteski

Are you talking lodging?

The Millenium is the "hot" spot for Iditarod fans. Although it is not near the start of the race. It is race headquarters. Mushers are in and out of the hotel while the race is going on. It is also the hub for returning sled dogs being dropped from the trail. You can get a room for about $179 per night. Many times you can hook up with other fans that are looking to share a room. There are B&B's at about $100 per night but I'd book them early.
