110 Iditarod Mushers for 2008 |

The Iditarod Sled dog race set a record this Friday with 110 mushers signed up for the 2008 race. 41 rookies and 15 mushers from foreign countries, including France, Germany and Belgium.
"As the race becomes more high profile and as the opportunity to make it affordable to come here to compete becomes more realistic, we'll see more people be a part of this," Stan Hooley from Iditarod race headquarters stated.
The 36th running of the Iditarod will start saturday March 1, 2008 in downtown Anchorage, Alaska and finish some 9 days later in Nome, Alaska.
