Lance Mackey is "the real thing"!

Congratulations to Lance on his lucky 13 win tonight arriving into Nome with Hobo and Larry leading the team down Front Street. Lance won his first Iditarod at 8:08PM, March 13, 2007.

I love the way Lance gave all the credit to Larry, Lippy, Foster, and you could never leave out BIG DADDY ZORRO(thats all the names i know)and the rest of his team. He has a special bond with his dogs that maybe not all mushers have. I read when he was sick he would just spend hours sitting with his dogs day after day taking extra special care of them like maybe he might not be there next year to do the same. When you are as sick as he was you need all the support you can get from family, friends and sometimes they can get under your skin when you are depressed but those DOGS are what gave him the strength to endure. LANCE MACKEY you have had an incredible year and I don't know anyone more deserving!!!
