Lance Mackey wins 2007 Cantwell Classic
Musher Lance Mackey, 2 time champion of the Yukon Quest and top contender in the Iditarod for the past several years, was the first to arrive in Cantwell for the Cantwell Classic 200. As he crossed the finish line, dogs full steam and looking like they were ready for another 100 miles of running - Lance turned to the small crowd gathered, a thick frost covering his mustache a little after 2AM Sunday morning and said grinning ear to ear, "that was fun". After a quick hug from family and friends, he turned to tending his dogs, hugged his wife Tonya and congratulated his son Cane for his 4th place finish in the Junior Cantwell Classic.
Short video of Lance and his team arriving into Cantwell.
