Heather Moore, Jeff Wells, Benedict Beisch, Russ Bybee, Ken Anderson, Clint Warnke, Randy Cummins, Jared Zimmerman, Will Faulkner, and Christine Roalofs, have all left, past their scheduled departure times.

Jamie Kohn, has scratched and has elected NOT to do the 20 mile loop, and is heading back to the Susitna along the Denali Hwy.

Update: Saturday, January 13, 2007 | 12:41
Todd Mackinow and Blake Matray have officially scratched at the Maclaren Lodge and will spend the night here resting their dogs. In a previous email we received from the lodge, it was noted that six (6) mushers had scratched. That news came from the Susitna, and those six mushers decided to turn around there and head back to Cantwell.

Update: Saturday, January 13, 2007 | 12:10
We are still waiting for the official word regarding the mushers who scratched earlier and their whereabout, etc. It's currently 22°F at Maclaren lodge and reportedly snowing heavily again. Read the Maclaren checkpoint update for details.

Update: Saturday, January 13, 2007 | 08:00
Six mushers have scratched at Maclaren lodge - updated information will be posted as soon as it comes in. Trails are soft with 6 inches of new snow and the winds are calming down. Some areas had 30 mph and drifting snow. Temperatures are 10°F to 20°F above.

Update: Saturday, January 13, 2007 | 06:30
Thirteen mushers are into Maclaren lodge including Ken Anderson and Randy Cummins as of 6AM this morning with 5 more within and are expected in within a half hour. The first musher can leave Maclaren at 10 am.

05:30 - Three (3) more mushers are in, at 5:30, Jeff Wells, Benedict Beisch, and Russ Bybee. They say there's a group of about (5) five mushers about 30 minutes behind them.

04:00 - Lance Mackey said the trail was great and ran alongside a group of caribou! Melanie Gould, Judy Currier, Mitch Seavey, and Danny Seavey have also arrived here at the Lodge.

Update: Saturday, January 13, 2007 | 00:30
Hugh Neff was the first to arrive into Maclaren Lodge at 00:01, with no one else in sight. His dogs look great. Hugh enjoyed some soup after the dogs were fed, checked in and bedded down for the night.

We will give you more updates as they arrive.
