Cantwell Classic 2007: Eve of the race PDF Print E-mail

On the eve of the first Cantwell Classic, the snowfall is heavy and the anticipation is high. Willow is expected to get up to 12 more inches of snow tonight. The race marshal talked of blowing snow on the trail and glare ice on the river. Approximately 10 trail breakers are busy reworking the trail tonight to keep the race on track.  While the snow is keeping the event organizers busy tonight, I suspect that most are glad the temperatures are warmer than it was this time last week!
