Thirty five mushers have signed up for the 2nd Annual Cantwell Classic. A 200 mile race through parts of the Denali highway, a tangle of frozen lakes, rivers & stunted spruce trees. The race starts & finishes in Cantwell, Alaska. Not a cake walk by any standards. The race has proven to be a tough little race.
Last year 8 mushers withdrew before the race, 11 mushers scratched, a total of 14 finished. Lance Mackey was the first to cross the finish line, a glimpse of what was yet to come from the Mackey Kennel in 2007. Among those signed up this season, is well known father & son team, Martin & Rohn Buser.
